TeleArk Nominated for Tech Nite 2010 High Tech Emerging Company Award

Virginia Beach, Virginia - TeleArk, LLC has been recently nominated for the Hampton Roads Technology Council's (HRTC - http://www.hrtc.org) Tech Nite 2010 High Tech Emerging Company Award.  This award recognizes outstanding commercial potential by an emerging company, such as TeleArk, that produces and markets predominantly high technology-based products or services.  The company should have been in business no less than 1 year and have at least 1 full year of verifiable sales revenues.  The company shall be headquartered, or substantially based in the Hampton Roads region.  With over 50 employees planning to be hired over the next year, TeleArk is proof that leveraging technology, training and talent are critical to being successful in today's business environment.

Co-Working for Small Business Growth

I just finished reading an excellent article today on "co-working" for small entreprenuers.  Instead of always having to go to a coffee shop or restaurant to get out of the "home office", co-working is a collaborative environment for like-minded entreprenuers to come together and work in a central place without the need of having a physical location or presence but with all of the benefits.  I personally know a number of small business owners who are their own employees (often just one) and they would never want to take on the additional financial burden of paying for rent or a utilities bill.  These kinds of expenses can really dip into a small entrepreneur's bottom line.  As consulting becomes more and more important in today's economy, flexibility is the key and co-working could be the ideal solution for those types of entrepreneurs.

Environmental Responsibility - TeleArk Takes the Lead in Reducing Carbon Footprint by Going Green

Virginia Beach, VA – TeleArk reports on the steps the company has taken to reduce their carbon footprint with the publication of their latest whitepaper titled Going Green at http://www.teleark.com/going_green. After a period of testing and evaluation, TeleArk has instituted a series of programs intended to reduce their overall energy consumption. The initial approach has been to have all critical employees telecommute, instead of traveling to a central office or call center. Not only has this move cut their energy consumption and costs, but there has been an increase in employee productivity and retention.

Telecommuting pluses.
